My Practice:

I work one-on-one with high-achievers, empowering them towards peak performance through holistic wellness, which includes:

  • Sleep hygiene and sleep optimization
  • Healthy and enjoyable movement balanced with recovery
  • Shifting our relationship to stress and optimizing joy
  • Food as Medicine: Nurturing our bodies intuitively based on whole-food principles
  • Healthy relationships and communication
  • Mindfulness and meditation practices tailored to individual needs
  • Supplementation: when needed and appropriate

My intention is to create a safe space where people feel heard and understood and where every aspect of body, mind, and spirit is nurtured. We work together in a compassionate and collaborative partnership to personalize a holistic wellness plan for peak performance and optimal health.

Bio:

I am a mother, military spouse, functional medicine physician assistant, mindfulness teacher, author, Army veteran, Olympic alternate, and 3xNCAA champion in gymnastics. I started my medical career at the University of Utah's PA program in 2005 and soon after joined the Army as a PA in 2009. During that time, I deployed to Tikrit, Iraq and earned a Bronze Star for my service in a combat zone. Unfortunately, upon my return, I noticed a steady decline in my health, which has taken me on a decade-long healing journey.

This path has been incredibly tumultuous, but it has opened many doors and insights. Because I couldn't find answers within conventional medicine and felt discounted by most providers, I branched into functional and integrative medicine, completing Chris Kresser's ADAPT Practitioner Training Program. I also relied heavily upon mindfulness and meditation and completed Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach's Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program in 2021. I wrote two books bringing mindfulness and introspective tools into the high-performing arenas of sports and the military, Beyond the Battlefield: Stories of Tenacity and Mindful Guidance Along the Warrior's Path and Beyond the Chalk Box: Insight and Inspiration from Olympic Gymnasts. I am now the Founder of Fit Intuit, which is dedicated to empowering high performers with holistic wellness to optimize performance and nurture well-being. I draw upon my background as an elite gymnast, medical practitioner, mindfulness teacher, and soul seeker as I work with others to more deeply trust their bodymindspirit to live their healthiest and most deeply fulfilling life.
