MBCST 3 – Mindfulness of Emotions

Introduction:

In this week, we build off of the previous weeks and introduce mindfulness of emotions. Initially, we begin with a sharing and check-in about how our practices are going. Then we have our talk on mindfulness of emotions, discussing the natural emergence of emotional experience from our physical bodies. We also talk about the capacity of some emotions to hold others and the brevity of emotions when we are able to be with them rather than push them away. We then have a 15 minute practice and close with a brief go-around.
